Job description

The Digital Practice Specialist role is designed to cultivate digital practice leaders at Perkins&Will. From foundational support to strategic digital innovation, these roles drive project excellence, technological fluency, and firmwide transformation. This entry-level role focuses on foundational digital delivery tasks, supporting project teams, and assisting the studio Digital Practice Manager with technology integration. Proficiency in core design applications with an emphasis on troubleshooting and basic customization of digital tools and processes. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with and reports to the studio's Digital Practice Manager.
  • Collaborates with design teams to develop project-specific implementation strategies.
  • Provides ongoing support and consultation to ensure the success of digital design and delivery workflows.
  • Ensures quality assurance with project teams to maintain modeling quality, adherence to firmwide best practices, and consistency of information across applications.
  • Assists with technology training, conducting workshops, and participating in curriculum development.
  • Coordinates with the firmwide Digital Practice group to promote local adoption of new technologies, workflows, and practices.
  • Coordinates application support with the IT infrastructure group and firmwide help desk.
  • Participates in office and firmwide planning related to digital design and delivery innovation.
  • Proactively maintains and communicates current knowledge relative to technology through journals, vendor resources, marketing collateral, and the design community.
 

Skills

Licensure/Certifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
  • LEED GA within 6 months of hire.
  • Professional accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you (LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation), preferred.
  • Active involvement in AXP or starting the ARE Process, preferred.
