Job description

Davis Tool has an exciting opportunity for an entry level accountant who wants to be challenged and do hands on work. This role involves working closely with accounts payable with an opportunity, as skills grow, to become involved with accounts receivable, and payroll, general ledger maintenance, financial statements reporting, forecasting, budgeting, product costing, and inventory accounting.
Responsibilities
  • Enter invoices and payables transactions assigning each to an appropriate account
  • Generate supplier payments
  • Produce standard and ad hoc accounting and finance reports and charts
  • Check for accuracy in figures, postings, and reports
  • Reconcile or note and report any differences in the records
  • Extensively use accounting, office/spreadsheet, and company database software applications
  • Interact in person, by phone and email with employees and suppliers

Requirements:
  • Minimum Associate's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with accounting and office software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Integrity to handle confidential company and employee information
