Job description

The Intern, CMC Project Management will support client facing program teams in the planning, coordination, and execution of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) activities. Working closely with experienced Project Managers and cross functional technical teams, the intern willassistwith project organization, documentation, communication, and operational support to ensure alignment between internal stakeholders and external clients. This role provides exposure to the CMC lifecycle, cross functional collaboration, andreal-worldproject management practices in afast-pacedbiopharmaceutical environment.
We are thrilled to provide a10-week paid internshipat our facility inTustin, CA. As an intern,you'lldive deep into ourteamculture, take on significant projects, and play a vital role in our team's dynamics. This temporary, 40-hour per week office position is designed to offer you a wealth of experience and the chance to connect with professionals in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Documentation
  • Assistin the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, action logs, and tracking tools.
  • Support the preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and follow up trackers.
  • Help organize project documentation andmaintainrepositories such as SharePoint or Teams.
Client Facing Support
  • Prepare draft materials for client meetings, including slide decks, status updates, and meeting summaries.
  • Track,consolidate, and route client requests to theappropriate functionalareas.
  • Support Project Managers in ensuringtimelycommunication and consistent messaging for client interactions.
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Gather updates from internal CMC functions (e.g., Process Development, MSAT, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing).
  • Assistwith coordination of small,well definedtasks across cross functional teams.
  • Help drive accountability by following up on action items with subject matter experts.
Data & Metrics
  • Compile project metrics such as deliverable status, risk logs, and timeline performance indicators.
  • Assistwith data organization and contribute to dashboards or visualization tools used for internal and client reporting.
  • Support creation of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) summaries for leadership and client review.
Risk & Issue Management
  • Maintainrisk and issue logs, ensuring entries areaccurateand up to date.
  • Document mitigation plans and support follow up activities as needed.
Document & Change Control Support
  • Track document progress, including protocols, reports, and change controls.
  • Coordinate document review and approval cycles with functional teams and Quality asappropriate.
Process Improvement & PMO Support
  • Assist in the development or refinement of project management templates, workflows, and standard tools.
  • Participatein continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Management Office (PMO).
Administrative & Organizational Support
  • Help schedule internal and external meetings and manage relatedlogistics.
  • Maintaindistribution lists, shared folders, and other organizational tools.
Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's orMaster'sprogram in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, ora relatedfield.
  • Ability to understand scientific and technical concepts related tobiologicsdevelopment (training provided).
  • Passionateabout a career in the biotech industry andlookingto gain valuable experience through this internship.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in biopharmaceutical development, CMC processes, or project management preferred.
  • Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship at our Tustin, CA facility.
  • Authorization to work in the country where the internship islocated.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a temporary position operating Monday through Friday, 5x8 (5 days x 8 hours) schedule.

Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $20.00 per hour.
