Entry-Level Biomedical Technician Position Overview

This is an entry-level biomedical technician role perfect for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in the field. The position focuses on testing medical devices and performing minor maintenance services.

Compensation and Shift Details:

  • Compensation: This role has a budgeted rate of $22.00 per hour

  • Shift Details: Monday through Friday with flexible shift options of either 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM.

Qualifications

While minimal experience is required, candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn how to diagnose and service various biomedical devices. The position has several preferred educational backgrounds:

  • Biomedical associates degree

  • Healthcare technology management degree

  • Biomedical-related military experience

  • Vocational certification from an Accredited Certificate Program

  • Related experience in medical device repair

  • Experience with biomedical programming/use

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates would have some exposure to the field through:

  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training

  • On-the-job training with various medical devices

  • Demonstrated technical competency and productivity

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on biomedical equipment

  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe service environment
