Entry-Level Commercial Construction Project Manager

Schedule: Full-Time | Location: In-Person | 

Pay: based upon qualifications and experience (*an added bonus opportunity and truck allowance)

Job Summary

Americon Construction (Part of All American Lumber) is seeking an entry-level Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial-focused construction projects with oversight of a seasoned Project Manager including commercial, agricultural, multi-family/assisted living facilities, office buildings, industrial, institutional, agricultural, and government work. We do not sponsor visas for this position. While this is a commercial construction role, we do accept candidates with residential construction experience if they can demonstrate strong project management ability. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects, coordinating field teams, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The candidate must be highly organized, professional, excellent communicator, efficient, self-starter, and contain a strong work ethic.

Qualifications - Commercial Construction Project Manager

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
  • 1-3 years' experience in construction project management or a construction leadership role preferred but not required
  • Experience in commercial and/or residential construction environments preferred
  • Understanding of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and closeout
  • Ability to coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors across active job sites
  • Ability to implement quality assurance processes and procedures to monitor construction activities and verify compliance with project requirements
  • Will run project progress meetings
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites

Requirements

Responsibilities - Entry-Level Commercial Construction Project Manager

  • Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout with oversight of seasoned project manager
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Coordinate daily field operations with superintendents and subcontractors
  • Monitor jobsite progress, quality, safety, and production
  • Lead project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Enforce safety and quality control procedures
  • Resolve project issues quickly to maintain schedule and momentum
  • Travel to job sites as required
