Job description

Global Security (GS) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. GS is responsible for developing security standards and procedures; ATM, branch and corporate building security; guard force management; alarm response; crisis management; pre-employment screening; fraud and employee investigations; and corporate aviation. 

As a Consumer Security Project Manager within our Global Security team , you will support the protection of employees, assets, and retail banking operations by identifying physical security risks and driving projects that strengthen the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) retail resources. This role partners closely with Real Estate and ATM Operations to improve operational effectiveness, standardize security requirements across branch and remote banking locations, and ensure timely coordination of investigations and risk mitigation efforts with internal stakeholders and law enforcement. The Project Manager evaluates current processes within the GS North America Physical Security team, researches root causes impacting day-to-day performance, and implements corrective actions that improve response to security demands. The role also maintains strong relationships and communication channels with key business partners, participates in management meetings, and collaborates with Protective Intelligence and law enforcement to monitor evolving threats and operational risks. Availability for after-hours incident response and occasional travel are required.

Job responsibilities:

  • Identification of potential risks and implementation of strategies which will protect or preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) retail resources.
  • Understand and apply project management efficiencies to enhance operational effectiveness and response to security demands and issues encountered within Real Estate and ATM partnerships.
  • Analyze current roles/responsibilities within GS North America Physical Security team and build national-level standardizations for handling of security requirements for retail branch locations and remote banking operations. Ensure follow-up coordination, including necessary investigation and risk mitigation, in partnership with line of business management, corporate partners, and law enforcement is addressed. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships and lines of communication with key line of business partners and management within Real Estate and ATM Operations.   Attend key management meetings to maintain visibility and open lines of communication.
  • Research root causes of issues impacting daily performance of GS North America Physical Security team and help define corrections that offer impactful change to daily demands.
  • Liaison with law enforcement agencies and financial industry leaders to understand evolving strategies in retail banking operations that require a security focus, as needed.  Maintain relationships with key contacts.
  • Work with JPMC Protective Intelligence team and law enforcement to understand potential risks to operations. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 5 years experience in a security development role
  • Expertise in proactively assessing and managing security projects and programs.
  • Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to unstructured problems and situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively across multiple lines of business

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Degree preferred or equivalent years of specific experience
  • Basic security product knowledge and business process understanding
  • Be available for after-hours response to emergency incidents
  • Occasional travel in support of daily department functions and responsibilities
