Our mission is supported by our relationship with Jefferson Health, a leading academic medical center in the U.S., dedicated to collecting and analyzing valuable real-world data and developing educational initiatives with a focus on patient outcomes and quality of life. Jefferson Health is our Academic Clinical Research Center partner for our vertically integrated operations in Pennsylvania.
Position Summary/Objective
We are seeking a Facility Custodian to perform a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties and routine housekeeping duties. Our operations rely on keeping the cultivation, production, and general use areas clean and safe. This role will address non-chemical spills, discard trash, clean restrooms, vacuum and polish floors, maintain clean glassware, and perform general supply and stock management for the facility. This role will also assist with cultivation and trimming duties as needed.
This position will report to the Production Operations Manager and work at our grower/processor location. Typical work hours and days may vary with facility operations. Overtime hours and weekend work may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness in all general use areas, including but not limited to storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other spaces
  • Sweep, mop, scrub (machine) floors, vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture, empty waste baskets. Refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers and move furniture
  • Wash walls, windows, and ceilings by climbing small ladders
  • Ensure facility supplies are stocked, materials are ordered, and support is provided for shipping and receiving, as necessary
  • Maintain and organize proper storage of chemicals, tools, and equipment, etc.
  • Work on other sanitation and cleaning tasks, as needed or special projects, as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Preferred Experience, Education and Skills:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience and working history that demonstrates stability and progressive responsibility
  • Experience providing cleaning or custodial services in a regulated environment preferred
  • Experience operating a forklift a plus
  • Demonstrated dexterity in completing physical tasks
  • Commitment and awareness to safety, including the ability to follow basic safety precautions and wear personal protection equipment
  • Proven reliability and dependability with a history of punctual work practice
  • Obsessive dedication to cleanliness and good housekeeping practices
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to maintain proper workplace sanitation
  • Ability to adopt and express the Company's core values

Physical Environment Conditions:
On a regular and recurring basis, the employee must alternate between contaminated/dirty environments to clean. Strong odors may be encountered while cleaning or removing trash for disposal. Potential for splash hazard, cuts, sticks, bumping and bruising exists from normal work. The work area can be noisy due to the rumbling of carts and operation of equipment. Work is generally conducted in heated and air-conditioned areas; however, employees must go outside to empty trash in dumpsters in all types of inclement weather.
Compensation:
  • This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay.
  • Pay range is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour.
