Job description

Production Operator I (Entry-Level)

Overview

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator I team members to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will work collaboratively to produce high-quality electronic equipment while rotating between tasks and building proficiency across multiple functional areas.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble or fabricate electronic components according to written work instructions
  • Rotate between workstations and tasks based on daily production needs
  • Deliver materials to production lines using Kanban systems
  • Perform accurate inventory transactions and material tracking
  • Participate in daily Tier 1 (DMS) team meetings
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Work Areas

Team members may be assigned to one of the following areas:

1. Assembly

  • Perform small-part assembly using hand tools
  • Work is primarily seated
  • Requires precision and attention to detail

2. SMT (Surface Mount Technology)

  • Transport reels of PCB components to machines
  • Involves frequent standing, walking, and pushing carts

3. Material Movement

  • Gather parts from stockroom/warehouse and deliver to production floor
  • Requires walking, counting, and organization of materials

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret English instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Comfortable working with small parts and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with PCB assembly, soldering, or electronics
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.55/hr.
