Your role
BeaconMedaes is seeking an Applications Engineer/ Product Specialist to support compressor, vacuum, and gas system design, application engineering, and proposal development for our medical and research laboratory markets.
The role will be based in Rock Hill, SC.
Roles and Responsibilities-
Technical Applications Support (100%) - Manage the technical aspects of the "sales and applications support process" for compressed air, vacuum systems and primary gas pipeline products in the medical and laboratory market, including assisting sales force in understanding and synthesizing customer requirements, then apply the proper products relative to customer needs and or specifications. Provide support for medical, breathing and laboratory compressed air, vacuum and primary gas pipeline system design, application engineering, and proposal generation for all special inquiries.
Provide equipment functionality and capability information and serve as an informational liaison for manufacturer's reps, direct reps, project management and service technicians internally and in the field.
Provide in depth technical knowledge relating to these products and applications to members of the sales team, including presenting relevant information during sales meetings, conference calls, public seminars, and product demonstrations.
Review and respond to customer inquiries and specifications on a timely basis.
Design and develop systems to meet customer requirements. Also assist in the redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
To succeed, you will need
Qualifications-
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in application engineering (entry level with degree in mechanical or electrical engineering)
Education:
  • Bachelor's (4-year) degree in mechanical or electrical engineering OR
  • 10+ years of experience in applications for medical, breathing and laboratory compressed air and gas
    Skills:
    • Must be an independent self-starter, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • AutoCAD experience is a plus
    • Must be able to read pneumatic/hydraulic flow diagrams and general arrangement drawings
    • Understanding of electrical drawings is a plus
