  • Hybrid after 1 year - 3 days in office/2 days remote

Position Overview
DB Insurance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Associate to join our Automotive Insurance team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate with a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field who has a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a strong desire to learn. The Actuarial Associate will play a vital role in supporting our team by analyzing data, assisting with product development, and providing insights to optimize our insurance offerings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support actuarial and statistical analysis to drive informed decision-making
  • Manage and update product and rating sheets using Excel to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Assist in pricing and loss ratio analysis across products, lines, and branches to support strategic insights
  • Conduct market and competitor benchmarking to inform strategic initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of filings for rate, rule, and form changes
  • Generate and analyze underwriting monitoring data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Support the creation of Property & Casualty market data reports using SAS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, and marketing, to gather data and ensure alignment of product goals
  • Support rate filings and regulatory compliance by preparing documentation and responding to information requests
  • Prepare reports and presentations that highlight findings, trends, and actionable insights
  • Continuously learn about the insurance industry and stay informed of changes in regulations, trends, and best practices in data analysis

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Successful completion of one or more Actuarial exams.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in quantitative methods and data analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python) being a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to learn and continuously improve knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required
