Job Description Summary

The Credit Analyst Business Banking is responsible for managing and monitoring a portfolio of Commercial credit relationships. In this entry-level role, you will work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) to support underwriting, credit analysis, and the ongoing oversight of client portfolios. This includes preparing credit requests for new loans, renewals, and modifications, as well as conducting financial analysis and ensuring adherence to Wintrust's Credit Policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor a portfolio of commercial credit relationships

  • Analyze and underwrite business and personal financial data to support credit decisions

  • Prepare credit requests, including new originations, renewals, modifications, and waivers

  • Ensure compliance with Wintrust Credit Policy, risk ratings, and financial reporting requirements

  • Track and test financial covenants and reporting obligations for assigned clients

  • Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers on loan closings and client interactions

  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for clients, maintaining a high level of responsiveness

  • Coordinate with internal credit, legal, and operations teams to facilitate timely and accurate execution of credit actions

  • Participate in credit-related training, including Wintrust Credit Academy courses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 0-3 years of experience in commercial credit, financial analysis, or accounting

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

  • Familiarity with business and personal financial statements and tax returns

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $53,000 - $77,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
