Job description

Job Title: Accountant 
Job Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI 
Job Type: Full Time 

Job Description: 

  • Lead monthly close for one to two plants, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements 

  • Review and record inventory transactions; analyze variances and report results 

  • Process weekly payroll through a third-party provider (Paychex or similar) 

  • Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoice processing, three-way match, and approvals 

  • Enter approved invoices into ERP system and process weekly check runs 

  • Assist with year-end close and external audit reviews 

  • Support general accounting operations such as cash application, pricing updates, reconciliations, and related tasks 

  • Collaborate with Accounting Manager on special projects and initiatives 

Qualifications 

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 

  • 0–4+ years of accounting experience 

  • Experience with ERP systems and general ledger management preferred 

  • Payroll system experience (Paychex, ADP, etc.) a plus 

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, look-ups, report formatting) 

  • Understanding of GAAP and accounting procedures 

  • Manufacturing/cost accounting experience a plus 

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing priorities
