ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with researching account variances for the monthly Operational Analysis.
  • Assist with processing purchase order requisitions to ensure compliance with BSC policies & procedures.
  • Verify invoices as being paid in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and oversee Student Balance Forgiveness program.
  • Reconcile cash, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with month end close.
  • Assist with monthly p-card reconciliations.
  • Assist with yearly budget process, as needed.
  • Provide backup for student census.
  • Create, & maintain Expense Trackers as well as Budget Request Trackers.
  • Use of Price Index file and pivot tables, as needed.
  • Work with Athletic Director to ensure the needs of the athletic teams are being met.
  • Develop a working knowledge of all student financial aid programs administered by the Financial Aid Office.
  • Work well with other departments to achieve enrollment and retention goals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of assistance and services given to students to include student payments, as needed.
  • Prepare yearly RFQ and analyze information for major spends of products and services to reduce costs.
  • Perform duties in a manner that is congruent with the College's vision, standards and ethics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the MBOD.

COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science degree with an Accounting major, Finance or Business Analytics major is desired. Will consider other business related majors with significant accounting experience.
  • Detail oriented, strong initiative, superior customer service skills.
  • Experience with Banner, Oracle, MS Office and pivot tables is desired.
  • Must be technologically savvy and able to learn new software programs quickly.
  • Skills in prioritizing, organizing and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and work with diverse groups.
  • Must thrive on working in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
  • Must possess a drive for excellence.
