The Team You’ll Join  

You’ll join a high-impact Corporate Accounting team that plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial results. The team is responsible for core close processes, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, and SOX-compliant controls, while also partnering closely with FP&A, HR, and business leaders across the organization. Our work directly supports executive decision-making and financial reporting for a business serving financial advisors and institutions.

How You’ll Contribute   

We are looking for a motivated Accountant II to join our Shared Service Accounting Team and assist with the day-to-day accounting over US entity activities within the Finance organization. This position is essential to ensuring the highest level of financial reporting accuracy through the maintenance of internal systems and adherence to financial reporting processes.  This is a great position for those who want to grow their accounting career and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position is expected to report to our Denver office on a hybrid schedule.

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end closing.
  • Responsible for Cash including review, recording, and reconciliation of multiple bank accounts, while working closely with other areas to ensure completeness. 
  • Perform fluctuation analyses and apply judgment to identify unusual trends that need to be further investigated.
  • Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement while helping to establish and maintain policies and procedures
  • Collaborate and update the team to ensure close activities are on schedule.
  • Assist with the preparation or review of SOX and substantive audit support as requested by the internal and external audit teams.
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting accounting guidance and financial information.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects in relation to month-end, quarter-end, or year-end processes and procedures

What You’ll Need to Bring  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required,
  • 2+ years of accounting experience is required; prior cash accounting experience preferred.
  • Technical and operational knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Knowledgeable regarding SOX and interactions with external auditors.
  • Ability to execute in a dynamic and demanding environment by demonstrating organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative, work well under pressure, highly detail oriented, self-motivated with the ability to follow through and implement process improvement.
  • Have a high degree of organization, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office software tools, excellent technology, analytical, and communication skills with emphasis on professional business writing skills.

Our Investment in You 

This role offers a base salary range of $64,600 to $80,700. The range listed represents a good-faith estimate of base salary compensation for this position and does not include incentive compensation, equity or benefits. Individual pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.  This role is eligible for an additional incentive component as part of the total rewards package.
