Job description

Campos Holding Company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable function within the accounting department. This role is responsible for overseeing payment transactions, managing financial obligations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Accounts Payable Manager plays a critical role in supporting operational efficiency, strong vendor relationships, and the overall financial health and growth of the company.

  • Exposure to core accounting processes, vendor management, and internal client servicing for multiple companies.

  • Oversee high-volume invoicing across multiple companies
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the accounts payable department and its staff
  • Ensure policies, and procedures adhere to company standards while maintaining accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure accounts payable operations and company financial obligations are met efficiently and on schedule
  • Oversee all tax-related processes, including preparation and filing of 1099 tax information
  • Managing vendors, ensuring all required documentation is obtained and put in the system correctly
  • Track company financial expenditures, maintain accurate databases, and produce reports as requested by leadership
  • Oversee all payment transactions, including ACH, wire transfers, and paper checks
  • Manage data entry, validation, and processing of invoices including general overhead, subcontractor, and employee travel reimbursements.
  • Monitor the status of transactions with internal teams, vendors, and external contractors
  • Standardize accounts payable procedures to improve efficiency and develop internal templates for company-wide use
  • Help implement AI to assist the department with efficiency
  • Provide timely, professional, and accurate communication while supporting a strong customer service mindset
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of accounting experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience with demonstrated analytical skills and mentoring/training/coaching employees.
  • Experience with and strong working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint strongly preferred
  • Substantial experience with ERP accounts payable systems and 1099 reporting and filing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with employees, leadership, vendors, and customers
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills
  • Highly detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
