General Summary
The Wrangler Express Center is the primary point of contact for Odessa College, delivering exceptional customer service to students, parents, and the community. Serving as a first-call and first-visit resolution center, this department addresses student services-related inquiries, including admissions, registration, financial aid, and payment options. Additionally, the Wrangler Express Center provides front desk support for the OC Sewell Auto Tech Center and the Wood Health Sciences Building. The individual in this role is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, efficiently managing inquiries by phone, email, instant messaging, and in person, and supporting daily operations, office functions, and documentation processes. This ensures seamless communication and coordination among students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
Specific Position Duties
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to students, prospective students, and other visitors who contact or visit the Wrangler Express/Call Center, the OC Sewell Auto Tech Center, or the Wood Health Sciences Building by phone, email, instant messaging, or in person.
  • Greet and direct students, community members, visitors, and employees promptly and appropriately.
  • Interact with students, staff, faculty, and the community courteously and professionally through various communication channels.
  • Provide accurate information and respond to inquiries regarding the Wrangler Express Center and Odessa College.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing mail distribution and issuing parking permits and student IDs.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet the needs of students, visitors, and employees.
  • Assist with coordinating office functions, maintaining inventory of supplies, scanning and indexing documents, and entering purchase requisitions.
  • Provide support to various departments during peak student intake and registration periods.
  • Monitor and reconcile departmental budget expenditures as requested.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new procedures, multitask effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Positive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create a welcoming environment for students, employees, and community population.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, assume responsibility, and perform effectively under pressure, particularly during peak registration periods.
