Job description

Engineering Supervisor

Position Summary

The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for estimating, shop drawing, project planning, and execution across multiple cabinetry projects. This hybrid role combines technical estimating, design skills, and construction project field knowledge to ensure accuracy and efficiency in pricing and shop drawings.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Technical Oversight

  • Review architectural drawings, floor plans, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Input cabinet SKUs and quantities into quoting tools; validate accuracy of measurements and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance to designers and estimators; ensure estimates align with production and installation standards.
  • Work with the operations manager to maintain cost databases, vendor pricing, and margin controls.
  • 2020 design for the project, able to provide insight into the design idea based on the architecture drawing.
    Team Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor estimators/designers, ensuring quality, accuracy, and professional growth.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs for estimation and project execution.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex estimation or project delivery issues.
    Qualifications
  • Must have strong experience in design, estimating, construction field.
  • Proven experience in project management, ideally with PM tools (Procore, MS Project, Trello, Monday.com, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CAD/design tools (2020, ProKitchen, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to supervise junior staff.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelorโ€™s in engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
