Experience autonomy and open dialogue with senior managers and make an immediate impact!Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:· Supervising the work of staff, exercising technical and administrative oversight.· Providing project direction and planning to best utilize your team.· Providing instruction for performance improvement and development to your team members.· Developing training plans and facilitating the growth of your team.· Evaluating performance and completing performance reviews.· Recommending discipline, as necessary, to maintain a high standard of work.· Monitoring attendance, approving timesheets, and scheduling PTO to ensure adequate staffing.· Establishing priorities, tracking project schedules, and developing work processes and procedures to meet goals.· Creating and promoting an equitable workplace that demonstrates an environment respectful of every teammate.· Estimating staffing and resource needs to effectively execute projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Work directly with Sales and Manufacturing to determine priorities and develop production schedules.· Independently performing the full range of engineering work assignments.· Follow customer specifications to complete product designs.· Work with Mechanical Designers to select components, develop drawings and maintain as-built revisions.· Advise Mechanical Designers in the creating and modifying of 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks.· Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD as needed.· Select proper components and generate BOM's.· Provide needed calculations for tanks and/or pressure piping components.· Work with vendors to introduce new and cost-effective products into our systems.· Participate in the inspections of products in various stages of the production process.· Help maintain our ASME Quality Control System.· Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives to develop better procedures and increase efficiency.· Assist Project Management with customer interface and act as a SME for Mechanical Design queries.· Create and update internal documents for Engineering Procedures and Training.The above are considered essential duties and are illustrative of those job tasks, which are fundamental. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and Experience:· Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical background.· Strong background using software for 3D modeling.· A minimum of 5 years' experience with capital equipment is preferred.· A working knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel Codes, boilers, heat transfer equipment, or auxiliary boiler room equipment is preferred.Skills and Abilities:· Ability to work independently after proper training and be a self-starter.· Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is preferred.· Knowledge and experience with PDM or PLM software is preferred.· Experience with Codeware Compress is preferred.· Effective time management and organizational skills.· Ability to communicate professionally and clearly.· Willingness to work in a collaborative environment and be a team player.Physical Demands:· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Work Environment:This position must perform tasks that involve mainly office exposure, sitting behind a desk performing tasks on a computer. Most of their time, the employee will spend time in the office with low to moderate exposure to noise, heat, and cold environment, other physical requirements include walking, bending, hand dexterity, speaking, seeing, and lifting/moving up to 15 pounds.
