Job Description
Engineer Project Manager
Position will support a Program Integration Office (PIO) in the coordination of Military Construction (MILCON) projects and Facility Sustainment Restoration & Modernization (FSRM) projects supporting a new-mission beddown of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter at Moody AFB, GA.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Engineer Project Manager: $120,000 to $130,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Engineer Project Manager Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist with coordination across all installation agencies to facilitate the preparation of infrastructure, facilities and services required for the new mission organization to reach Initial * Full Operating Capability (I/FOC) within minimal to no disruption to ongoing missions.

  • Provide technical support to facilitate coordination and integration of multitude plans, operations, timelines and deliverables in support of a single executable operations plan.

  • Assist with integrating multiple plans, operations, and timelines into a single executable operations plan

  • Support both the Facility Sustainment Restoration & Modernization (FSRM) and Military Construction (MILCON) programs by assisting with project requirements scoping, project scheduling, project oversight, waiver processing, communications and leadership updates.

  • Provide recurring updates to senior leadership to include updates on projected service interruptions and success stories.

  • Assist with beddown coordination activities with Headquarters, Squadron, Group, Wing leadership, DoD Partners (i.e. USACE), contractors and multiple agencies across the installation.

  • Perform required enterprise business system (EBS) data entry for assigned projects, as required.

  • Coordinate with customers and other Government personnel to define project requirements; ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, and Air Force regulations.

  • Draft Performance Work Statements/Statements of Work. Assist with development of FSRM/MILCON programming documents (DD 1391s); cost estimates; and acquisition packages as required.

  • Maintains project costs, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.

  • Completes weekly and monthly internal and external reporting.

  • Develop project briefings and presentations.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Engineer Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • BA/BS Degree in any engineering discipline is desired with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the last 10 years with a focus on engineering project management or design engineering. Supporting projects for a Federal Agency is desired, preferably USAF or DOD experience.

  • If no degree, 10-15 years of project management experience is desired within the last 10 years with a focus on engineering project management. Supporting projects for a Federal Agency is desired, preferably with USAF or DOD experience.

  • Experience in gathering data to solve complex technical problems and be able to follow established project related procedures and complete established project milestones.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication analysis, and interpersonal skills.

  • General Project and Program Planning & Development experience is desired.

  • Experience with various IT Systems is desired.

  • Must have be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
