Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in packaging or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries, with extensive experience in managing large maintenance teams and driving process improvement initiatives. The candidate should have a proven track record in implementing Lean methodologies, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and reliability engineering practices. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all aspects of the maintenance department, including equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and reduce overall maintenance costs. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the department. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Utilize Lean principles and TPM methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve workflow, and enhance equipment performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to support production goals and resolve technical issues. Establish and maintain maintenance KPIs to monitor department performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability. Implement reliability engineering practices to analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and develop long-term solutions to prevent recurrence. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in maintenance and engineering to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required. Proven experience managing a maintenance department with over 75 employees. Strong background in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma. Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering, including root cause analysis and predictive maintenance techniques. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving performance targets. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
