Your role:
The Engineering Analyst position supports the Redstone Test Center's (RTC) ECE Division in the analysis and presentation of data collected during ECE testing on aviation and ground platforms, support equipment, and weapon systems. Duties include ECE data analysis, data manipulation, charting, and editing of technical documentation. Duties include detailed data analysis of plots, graphs, technical specifications, test documentation, and test specific data at ECE. This position will work closely with the test engineer, test technicians, and the documentation team to ensure all aspects of ECE testing is captured and analyzed for completeness. As an Engineering Analyst you will receive and interpret technical direction from test engineers or subject matter experts, notes or manuals, and other data relative to ECE test procedures.
What you'll do all day:
  • Apply knowledge of test procedures, military standards (MIL-STDs), military specifications (MIL-SPECs), military performance specifications (MIL-PRFs), etc. as well as aerospace and other relevant standards in order to produce technically oriented documentation that meets Redstone Test Center (RTC) documentation standards.
  • Use your knowledge and understanding of the data presentation and data reporting requirements per MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, and ADS-37A-PRF to confirm all data is obtained during ECE test events.
  • Perform detailed technical analysis to ensure the test division's commitment to test data integrity, document quality and document timelines are met.
  • Receive and interpret technical direction from test engineers or subject matter experts, notes or manuals, and other data relative to ECE test procedures.
  • Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, and meets editorial and government MIL-STD specifications and adheres to standards for quality of technical content, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
  • Assist engineers with capturing detailed procedures for ECE operations.
  • Work as part of a team of other engineers, analysts, subject matter experts, and technicians.

Minimum requirements for this position:
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college/university and 6 years of experience analyzing results of tests, assisting in ensuring data integrity and quality, providing statistical analysis and presenting findings to team members and management; or an Associate's Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college/university and 8 years of applicable experience; or 10 years of applicable experience; or 10 years of applicable military experience performing engineering, analysis, and related functions in research, development, test and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems.
  • Ability to work independently or with a highly diverse team to include technicians, engineers, technical writers, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
  • Excellent written and communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Desired skills and experience for this position:
  • Experience with electromagnetic environmental effects testing and data analysis preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding of the data presentation and data reporting requirements per MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, and ADS-37A-PRF to confirm all data is obtained during ECE test events would be desirable, but not required.
  • Prefer the ability to accesses, stores, and distribute CLASSIFIED/SECRET/Proprietary information.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance desired.
