Job description

A healthcare organization in Wasco, CA is seeking two experienced Pharmacists to support an EPIC EMR conversion project. This 8-week contract opportunity involves working alongside permanent staff who are implementing and troubleshooting the new software, while you assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Schedule/Hours:

  • Evenings, 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • Availability to work 48 hours per week
  • Orientation on August 3rd or August 17th
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pharmacy services during the EMR transition period to ensure seamless medication management
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient safety and accurate medication dispensing
  • Troubleshoot pharmacy-related issues as part of the EPIC implementation process
  • Maintain compliance with policies and regulations during the transition
Qualifications:
  • Valid California Pharmacist license
  • BLS certification
  • Experience working with both Cerner and EPIC EMR systems within the past 5 years, either as a full-time employee or through successfully completed contracts
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
