Job description

An Employee Relations Specialist is an HR professional who helps build positive relationships between employees and the organization while ensuring workplace issues are handled fairly, consistently, and in compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate employee complaints, grievances, and workplace conflicts.
  • Mediate disputes between employees and managers.
  • Advise managers on employee relations matters and performance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and employment regulations.
  • Conduct workplace investigations into misconduct, harassment, or policy violations.
  • Support disciplinary actions, terminations, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Train managers and employees on workplace policies and best practices.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in human resources or employee relations.
  • HR certifications such as Society for Human Resource Management-CP/SHRM-SCP or HR Certification Institute PHR/SPHR are often preferred.
