The SLA Analysis Group's mission is to deliver objective analyses, plans and strategies to US Navy, US Marine Corps, USAF, other DoD, and Australian Defence Force clients to support technology development, acquisition, delivery and sustainment decisions. The group provides the core of SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development and Cost Estimating, with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments.
SPA has a near-term need for an experienced program manager with a background in strategic deterrence to support our customer in Arlington, VA.#MC
Responsibilities
The Program Manager (PM) will serve as the primary point-of-contact for contract execution, ensuring alignment with AF/A10 strategic deterrence and nuclear integration priorities. The PM will oversee a team of approximately 60 personnel providing a wide range of support activities, including International Affairs and Foreign Policy, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, Biodefense, Nuclear Enterprise support, Legislative analysis, Integrated Air and Missile Defense, and ancillary program management duties. Key responsibilities include:
  • Program oversight
  • Personnel management
  • Communication and ensuring on-time, quality deliverables
  • Risk assessment and mitigation

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience successfully managing complex Service or Agency programs of similar size and scope.
  • Demonstrated success planning, directing, and executing organizational strategies, including large-scale personnel management.
  • Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and program controls.
  • Experience liaising with senior leadership and managing relationships with program stakeholders.
  • Secret Clearance.

Desired:
  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a relevant field (e.g., National Security, Program Management).
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting DAF Strategic Deterrence Education or Nuclear Enterprise efforts.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to address evolving program priorities.
