Job description

The Employee Relations Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace environment by managing relationships between employees and the organization. This position involves addressing employee concerns, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and implementing policies to promote fair treatment and employee satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of labor relations, and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and integrity. This position can be located near any Arvato or Carbel site.

YOUR TASKS

  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
  • Conduct investigations into complaints and provide resolution in a timely and fair manner, maintaining strict confidentiality and promoting organizational values.
  • Maintains excellent recordkeeping
  • Collaborate with the legal department to address and respond to legal claims
  • Develop and implement employee relations programs and policies to promote a positive workplace environment.
  • Mediate conflicts between employees and management to ensure fair and respectful treatment for all parties.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment laws, recommending updates to company policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Conduct regular audits of employee relations practices to ensure adherence to legal standards.
  • Provide coaching, training and support to managers and human resources team on handling employee relations issues and to develop preventive measures.
  • Design, execute, and evaluate employee engagement initiatives and programs that foster a positive and professional and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Analyze employee feedback, engagement surveys, and performance data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of programs, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leadership, and various departments to integrate equality and inclusion principles into talent acquisition, performance management, and employee development processes.
  • Develop internal communications that promote and celebrate inclusiveness and encourage employee participation in engagement activities.
  • Build relationships with external organizations, community groups, and networks to promote the company’s commitment equality and foster partnerships that benefit the workforce

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in employee relations or a related human resources role.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and conducting investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Work hours may vary based on organizational needs.
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish /English)
