Job Title: Emergency Department / Education Manager (Registered Nurse)

Position Summary:
The Emergency Department / Education Manager at Minneola Healthcare is responsible for overseeing both the operational management of the Emergency Department (ED) and the educational programs within the healthcare facility. This dual-role position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to educational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient and effective patient care delivery.
  • Supervise ED staff, including nurses and support personnel, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare leadership to develop and implement educational programs for staff development and continuing education.
  • Design, coordinate, and conduct training sessions and workshops for healthcare professionals, focusing on emergency care best practices and procedural updates.
  • Monitor and evaluate educational outcomes, assessing the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to ED staff, providing guidance on clinical practice, emergency response protocols, and patient care strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the ED, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies related to emergency care and staff education.
  • Provide nursing call coverage in a rotation with the other nursing leaders. Fully staffed, this will be 1 in 5 weekends and 1 night a week.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas.
  • Proven experience in emergency nursing.
  • Knowledge of emergency care principles, trauma response, and critical care protocols.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and lead a team in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuing education in healthcare management and emergency nursing.
