Job description

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer for Virginia and southern West Virginia is seeking a Content Production Specialist in Richmond, Virginia. The Content Production Specialist position is responsible for creating and producing various forms of professional-grade media content, independently or in cooperation with vendor partners, including video, photography, graphical elements, and other digital assets that tell stories of customer and employee success, as aligned with our company mission.
The Content Production Specialist manages all aspects of production, including concept development, storyboarding, copy coordination, shooting and post-editing. Will conduct interviews with customers and employees in a professional manner that elicits authentic, genuine content for repurposing in a variety of forms. Other duties include managing website content (copy, graphics, basic web design), managing ongoing visual content needs for the Marketing team, and design/execution of mass emails and content for automated workflows. Seeking candidates with three years' experience in a corporate marketing environment. Requires a substantial portfolio of past work demonstrating expert-level photography, video, and graphic design proficiency. Must be able to oversee projects from creation to completion, ensuring finished products and delivery times meet or exceed client expectations.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years' experience in a corporate marketing environment; Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, preferred; Previous copy-writing experience a plus.
Requirements for the Content Production Specialist position include:

  • Thorough understanding of storytelling concepts using various medium.
  • Substantial portfolio of past work demonstrating expert-level photography, video, and graphic design proficiency.
  • Expert level proficiency with Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier, After Effects); proficiency in web design.
  • Working knowledge of marketing processes and campaign development.
  • Must be able to oversee projects from creation to completion, ensuring finished products and delivery times meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Must possess a keen eye for when and where to set up and take photos and videos.
  • Excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a good listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented. Must be able to work independently and possess ability to manage multiple/changing priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills: ability to instantly connect with a range of subjects and personality types (customer, technician, corporate); excellent customer satisfaction skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong PC skills and the ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology.
  • Must have excellent driving record.
  • Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time throughout Carter's service territory, including overnight stays.
