As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily activities will revolve around patient engagement and therapeutic support. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting initial assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs, formulating personalized treatment plans based on these assessments.
• Facilitating therapy sessions aimed at helping clients navigate their mental health challenges, focusing on goals related to trauma recovery.
• Monitoring patient progress through regular follow-up sessions and modifying treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers and community organizations to connect patients to additional resources and support services.
• Providing education and training for both staff and patients on effective coping mechanisms for managing stress and trauma.

Your clientele largely consists of individuals dealing with trauma from various sources, whether it be recent experiences or longstanding challenges. To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• At least 3 years of experience working specifically with trauma patients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to effectively document patient interactions and maintain comprehensive records.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate patient engagement and coordinate with other healthcare professionals.

While not mandatory, experience with Salesforce and electronic medical records (EMR) systems will be considered a significant advantage, enhancing your ability to deliver quality care efficiently.
