  • Develops tactical PR plans for launches, funding, or initiatives, and ensures messaging consistency across awards, speaking, and editorial campaigns.
  • Secures 2+ monthly media opportunities per client, focusing outreach on mid‑to top‑tier business, vertical, and broadcast publications.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the broader media landscape and news agenda as it relates to clients’ business and shares relevant insights with the team (and with the client, when appropriate) to inform strategy and action.
  • Demonstrates substantial industry and competitive landscape knowledge to identify and share relevant news items with internal teams.
  • Leads weekly client calls, surfaces new ideas, and delivers insights that position PR as a strategic growth driver and regularly shares client‑related updates with VPs and Directors to ensure visibility and alignment.
  • Oversees implementation of PR plans and ensures alignment with performance KPIs, adjusting strategies based on client feedback and program outcomes.
  • Mentors Account Executives or interns, conducting informal performance check‑ins and guiding their development with regular feedback.
  • Ensures team efficiency and quality by promoting clear communication, strong task delegation, and accountability across projects.
  • Leads 1 internal skill‑building session per year, sharing best practices in writing, media outreach, and PR program execution.
  • Supports early‑stage pitch development by researching potential clients, compiling relevant materials, and preparing messaging frameworks.
  • Attends two local industry/networking events annually (when applicable) and contributes to talent pipeline initiatives or recruiting efforts as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–4 years of PR experience either in an agency setting or corporate environment.
  • Previous technology PR experience required, B2B tech preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a communications, journalism or adjacent field.
  • Strong comfort level in a client‑facing role; manage and lead client status calls and thought leadership brainstorms.
  • Solid record of securing Tier 1 and trade earned media coverage for the tech sector.
  • Writing samples showing extensive experience drafting press releases, bylines, and other relevant writing content.
  • Create, edit, and develop communications materials including brand messaging, press releases, external talking points, FAQs, reporting materials, and pitches, among other assets.
