Job description

Schagrin Home Comfort Products is a 4th generation family-owned business specializing in propane delivery and the installation and service of gas appliances including standby fireplaces and gas logs, generators, HVAC equipment, and other comfort and convenience products.
*Objective*
To design and complete electrical installations and service to ensure safety, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Interact with team and customers to ensure tasks are accomplished on time and budget, and inventory is available and accurate. Assess, plan, and estimate requirements and cost to complete field work alone or in conjunction with Sales personnel. Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions to improve safety and efficiency and reduce operating costs.
*Essential Functions*
* Oversee electrical team, including Journeymen, Apprentices, and Technicians
* Design and wire generator and transfer switches into existing homes and businesses.
* Run circuits needed for Fireplaces, HVAC systems and control wiring.
* General plant maintenance as well as plant improvement projects.
* Design and wire showroom projects, new and existing.
* Communicate with purchasing manager to make sure parts and materials are ordered and maintained necessary to complete installations and service in a timely manner.
* Plan and schedule electrical installations.
* Interface with customers to resolve issues related to installation or service and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability and minimizing company liability.
* Estimate materials, labor and equipment requirements for various installations and projects.
* Gain and maintain product certifications for Generac, etc.
* Maintain Master electrical license in Delaware and Maryland.
* Submit permits and oversee electric permit process.
* Stay current with building codes and permits for various states and counties.
* Local travel to all service areas during business hours required.
* Treats customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.
* Report and address all accidents and safety hazards immediately.
* Operate vehicles and equipment owned by Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a safe and legal manner at all times.
* Perform any miscellaneous duties as assigned.
*Minimum Qualifications*
* Possess a Delaware and Maryland Master Electrical License in good standing (can make exception if able to obtain Maryland within 90 days of hire)
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Master Electrician.
* Basic knowledge of current building codes and permits.
* Must have a valid driverโ€™s license, in good standing, with no or minimal number of moving violations.
* Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
* Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
* Must comply with Schagrin Home Comfort Products drug & alcohol testing policy.
* Capable of working in an environment that is indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather.
* Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position.
*Schedule Requirements*
* Available to work 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
* May be required to be "on-call" on a rotating basis once trained. While on-call, must be readily available by phone/text and email after-hours and weekends.
