Core Responsibilities
  • System Architecture & Design: Architect detailed electrical plans, technical specifications, and comprehensive inspection reports that translate complex engineering concepts into buildable reality.
  • Substation Engineering: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop sophisticated substation physical layouts, construction drawings, and protection/control schemes.
  • Technical Stewardship: Provide strategic direction to designers and CAD operators to ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of technical accuracy and project requirements.
  • Project Integration: Coordinate essential project logistics, including material procurement lists and labor contract oversight, to ensure seamless execution from concept to commissioning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a technical liaison between the firm, vendors, and clients to streamline workflows and enhance overall project efficiency.
  • Field & Commissioning Mastery: Engage in hands-on technical development involving relay programming, protection settings, and substation commissioning to ensure system integrity.
  • Digital Documentation: Utilize advanced reporting tools and the Microsoft Office Suite to maintain rigorous project documentation and technical communication standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience within an electrical engineering or utility consulting environment (New Graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply).
  • Licensure: Active Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a foundational understanding of CAD environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Software Acumen: Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or specialized electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM, ETAP).
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous exposure to power delivery, high-voltage systems, or utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Professional Drive: A proactive mindset with a clear desire to pursue Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
