Job Summary

The Operations Supervisor is a critical leadership role within power generation facilities, responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous electrical energy production. This position requires strong technicalexpertise, supervisory experience,a high levelof safety awareness, and the ability to manage complex operational challenges invariedconditions. The supervisor plays a key role inoptimizingplant performance, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards.

]Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety standards.

  • Supervise the operation and maintenance of power generation equipment, including turbines, boilers, generators, and electrical systems, to support continuous and efficient energy production.

  • Manage, schedule, and train personnel, including shift operators and maintenance staff, tomaintainoperational readiness and support professional development.

  • Prepare andmaintainoperational schedules, logs, and reports documenting equipment status, production metrics, and maintenance activities.

  • Respond promptly to emergencies and equipment failures, leading troubleshooting efforts to mitigate damage and restore normal operations.

  • Coordinate with management and cross-functional teams tooptimizeplantperformance, recommend operational improvements, and support capital projects or upgrades.

  • Oversee the procurement of equipment, supplies, and materialsrequiredfor reliable plant operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma orequivalent

  • Strong knowledge ofheavy industrialequipment, systems, and control technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage personnel effectively, resolve conflicts, research and conduct grievance hearings, and interpret and apply company and union contracts.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and coordinate teams while fostering collaboration and accountability.

  • Ability to analyze operational data, evaluate processes, and make sound decisions in high-pressure or emergency situations.

  • Strong communicationskills to effectively coordinate with staff, management, and external regulatory agencies.

  • Physical stamina to work in demanding industrial environments, including shift work and exposure to variable weather conditions.

  • Ability toworka 7x7 rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred (Additional) Qualifications

  • Technicalproficiencywith operational software and systems, including Emerson Ovation, GE MarkVIe, and SAP work and asset management systems.

  • Previousexperience leading represented employees.

  • Strong knowledge of power generation equipment, systems, and control technologies.

$96,600.00 - $144,900.00

*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
