Job description

Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Specialist I:

Hiring Range $62,691.20 to $83,574.40

Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Specialist II:

Hiring Range $71,760.00 to $95,693.87

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Specialist is responsible for the definition, development, testing, analysis, and maintenance of new and existing Electronic Health Record software applications and related database infrastructure for SCF to meet its business strategies, goals, and objectives. Responsible for providing advanced application support to customers. May also be responsible for user training and support and automation of business processes. Responsible for working with senior leadership, management, committees, and external partners to develop and redesign systems and processes to improve the overall effectiveness of SCF.

This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Clinical Informatics, or Information Technology; OR equivalent experience and education.

2. Two (2) years EHR Systems Support experience; OR two (2) years Health Informatics experience.

Additional Qualifications for Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Specialist II:

1. Two (2) additional years of Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Specialist experience; OR two (2) additional years of Health Informatics experience; OR demonstrated competency at the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Support Specialist I level.

Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training.  SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.

Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment.  You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment.  Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
