Job Summary and Responsibilities

This is a NIGHT shift position

As our Clinical Informaticist - Virtual Support, you will promote IT understanding, integration, and application in healthcare.
Every day you will address complex challenges, liaison between clinical care and IT, support the full lifecycle of clinical technology projects, and drive system standardization and optimization. You'll also contribute to patient safety and quality through workflow integration, technology enhancements, and clinical dashboards.
To be successful in this role, you will provide informatics expertise in curriculum design, EHR training, and competency validation.

  • Provides virtual first-line support for technology issues, troubleshooting, and resolving problems whenever possible. Ensures clear, accurate, and courteous communication with customers throughout the process using a virtual platform.
  • Possess and maintain a strong understanding of clinical workflows, Epic applications, and network performance. Engages in moderate/complex troubleshooting, and develops detailed documentation that complements workflows.
  • Accurately document and triage incidents and service requests, escalating issues as needed to appropriate teams. Leverages internal resources and collaborates with other teams to effectively resolve issues and minimize customer interruptions.
  • Create and maintain support documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides. Contribute to the development of training materials.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new hires, mentor team members, and create and maintain internal training materials. Provide virtual one-on-one support to end users.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Registered Nurse, Pharmacist or Physical Therapist Required
  • Bachelors Other in healthcare discipline required. 
  • 1-3 years Informatics or EHR support experience at a regional or local level required
  • 4-6 years Experience in a clinical setting, upon hire
  • Extensive experience in Clinical and/or HealthCare Business Applications, upon hire
  • EHR support experience, upon hire 
  • EPIC Certification, upon hire


Preferred

  • 1-3 years Virtual Support Experience, upon hire
