Salesforce is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Editor to join our dynamic News & Editorial team. This pivotal position will play a key role in increasing the output and improving the quality of our editorially-driven storytelling, with the goal of reinforcing Salesforce's reputation as a pioneer in enterprise technology, AI and the Agentic Enterprise.

The Senior Editor will be responsible for end-to-end story development, from ideation and pitching to brief-writing, assigning, editing, and managing top edits and other stakeholder feedback. They will help translate complex technical concepts and product news into clear, accessible, and engaging editorial. They will collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize news and messaging according to organizational objectives. And they will develop compelling thought leadership, cementing Salesforce as an influential source for insights on the Agentic Enterprise revolution.

Key Responsibilities :
  • End-to-End Editorial Management : Lead the full lifecycle of editorial content pieces, from proactive ideation and pitching to developing comprehensive briefs, assigning content to writers, rigorous editing, and overseeing top edits and incorporating feedback from key stakeholders.

  • Strategic Storytelling & Content Creation : Proactively identify, research, and edit ambitious editorial articles and multimedia pieces that articulate Salesforce's leadership in AI and the Agentic Enterprise. Ensure content educates and engages a wide range of stakeholders, especially the CXO audience.

  • Prioritization : Partner with communications colleagues and other stakeholders to understand priority messages and co-create content strategies that meet business objectives and audience needs.

  • Quality Enhancement & Output Growth : Increase the volume and elevate the editorial quality of content, ensuring all content maintains high editorial standards and aligns with overarching corporate and editorial objectives. Provide guidance and mentorship to ensure consistency and excellence in storytelling.

  • Technical Translation : Distill complex technical concepts, product innovations, and industry trends into clear, compelling, and accessible narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, including tech decision-makers and C-suite executives.

  • Thought Leadership Development : Contribute to crafting content that communicates Salesforce's visionary approach to AI and the Agentic Enterprise, explores the larger conversation around AI with unique insight, and reinforces our reputation as a pioneer in the enterprise technology and AI landscape.

  • Industry Expertise : Stay deeply informed on industry trends, news, and developments, particularly related to AI, data, platform technologies, and the Agentic Enterprise landscape, leveraging this knowledge to identify timely and relevant story opportunities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with product, PR, marketing, investor relations, HR, and other internal teams to ensure content accuracy and alignment with broader company initiatives, while maintaining editorial integrity and clarity of purpose.

  • Newsroom Voice & Vision : Adhere to and elevate the Salesforce Newsroom's distinct voice and purpose, aligning with Salesforce's unique and differentiated vision and products.

Qualifications :
  • 6-9 years of journalism experience, with a demonstrated ability to break, understand, and contextualize highly technical product news.

  • Proven track record of managing editorial processes from ideation to publication, including assigning, editing, and stakeholder management.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio of clips that showcase an ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, and accessible messages.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work across teams and with senior leaders.

  • Strong editorial vision and the ability to establish and maintain a distinct, authoritative voice.

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience covering enterprise technology, AI, data, or platform technologies for a business and/or technical audience.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across a large, matrixed organization.

  • Experience working in a global tech company with a diverse, international audience.
