Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Analyst to join our BSA Compliance Department. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive, end-to-end EDD reviews of the bank's high-risk customer portfolio, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards and internal bank policies. The ideal candidate will possess deep investigative skills to analyze complex corporate entity structures, evaluate cross-border or inter-account activity, and monitor evolving customer risk parameters to protect the bank against financial crime.
Job Description
  • - Conduct thorough EDD reviews of high-risk customers, focusing on complex relationship
  • structures,ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO), and potential inter-account fund comingling.
  • - Perform 90-day reviews for customers whose updated monthly risk scores exceed the bank's
  • high-risk threshold.
  • - Identify, document, and escalate potentially suspicious activities directly to the EDD Team Lead
  • and BSA Officer.
  • - Recommend strategic updates to customer profiles and behavioral parameters based on
  • investigation outcomes. Issue, track, and diligently follow up on timeline-sensitive Requests for
  • Information (RFIs) to front-line business units.
  • - Review Site Visitation Reports to ensure they comply with the bank's KYC/CDD/EDD
  • requirements.
  • - Support the BSA Officer with special investigations and the development of models or Customer
  • Risk Rating (CRR) methodologies. Assist in training branch employees on KYC and AML
  • procedures.
Qualifications
  • - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field is
  • preferred.
  • - Over 5 years of direct, dedicated experience executing EDD functions and high-risk entity
  • investigations within a commercial banking environment.
  • - CAMS designated candidates are preferred; but not required.
  • - Strong mastery of AML investigation tools, transaction monitoring systems, adverse media
  • databases (i.e. Thomson Reuters), and corporate registries.
  • - Analytical and investigative mindset, with the proven ability to structure comprehensive,
  • narrative-based investigative reports.
  • - In-depth understanding of federal BSA/AML regulations, FinCEN guidance, and CDD/EDD rules.
  • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
