Description

Responsible for defining and leading product suite & offer innovation for the consumer credit card business. This role will be integral part of the consumer card business and lead product(s) and offer innovation to ensure and deliver card products that fit the needs of our growing customer base.ย  Translating customer and market insight, market opportunity, profitability, and competitive dynamics into a clear path to developing best in class product offerings with clearly defined strategy across product value propositions, offers, and capabilities.ย 

This leader will own the product development agenda, leading in a cross-functional leadership role in a highly matrixed environment, providing strategic leadership across key partners within Product, Marketing, Digital, Distribution, Risk Analytics, Finance, Operations, and Technology. The position requires a balance of long-term vision with hands-on execution rigor to ensure strategy translates to measurable business impact.ย  ย 

Primary Responsibilities include:ย 

  • Define and lead the multi-year credit card product offering strategy aligned to enterprise objectivesย 
  • Identify market and competitive opportunity to develop competitive product offerings to increase acquisitions and drive sustainable growthย 
  • Optimize performance across existing products with offer and capability enhancements.ย Define needs, roles, economics and integration across the organization and desired customer journey.ย ย 
  • Define and own the credit card product value position - ensuring it reflects customer needs, market opportunities and business objectives.ย  Current and future state
  • Translate strategic intent into actionable roadmaps - clearly articulating priorities and desired outcomes for delivery and partner teams
  • Establish expected outcomes and measurement plan aligned to actionsย 

Skillsets needed:ย 

  • Proven track record of driving product development initiatives within cards, lending, or consumer financial services; strong consumer card experience desiredย 
  • Deep understanding of acquisition and portfolio economics for credit card product, lifecycle management, and customer value creation
  • Strategic architect with the ability to operate in the details; ability to equally set strategic vision and executeย 
  • Enterprise leader skilled at influencing across a complex, matrixed environment as an individual contributorย 
  • Builder mentality - comfortable operating in maturing state and overall scaling business driven.ย  Someone who can build processes vs follow
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomesย 
  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree
    • 10+ years of Credit Card product and/or product marketing experience
    • Strong knowledge and mastery of the credit card industry and product economics
    • Demonstrated success in building and scaling new credit card products and programs
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • MBA
    • 5+ years in a product development role across major bank issuers

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: ย 40
  • Work Schedule: ย Full Time M-F 8:30-5:30pm; 4 days in officeย 

Pay Transparencyย 

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $250,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
