Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Ecommerce Specialist to support our ecommerce team in ensuring brand consistency and optimized content delivery across retail platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the syndication of product content across retailer websites, maintaining catalog and content data accuracy, and ensuring seamless content updates across channels using the latest AI-enabled tech. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with foundational ecommerce experience who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Candidates must reside in a commutable distance from our Chicago or Bentonville office for a hybrid work schedule.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and execute content syndication strategies across ecommerce retailer platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, and others
  • Partner with internal teams (brand, ecommerce, digital marketing) to gather product content, assets, and copy for syndication.
  • Work closely with external syndication tools (e.g., Profitero, Salsify, Syndigo, Vendor Central) to ensure timely and accurate product data distribution.
  • Monitor and audit syndicated content for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with brand guidelines and assist in troubleshooting content issues, coordinating with retailer teams or syndication platforms.
  • Report on content health metrics and syndication performance; recommend improvements as needed.
  • Stay informed on ecommerce content best practices and retailer content trends
  • Build productive relationships and communications with cross-functional teams (i.e., answer questions/provide direction) to keep projects moving forward
  • Develop your proficiency across all Mars internal workflow and financial management systems
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager or Director

SKILLSETS REQUIRED:
  • Proactive nature in the seeking of work/responsibility
  • Prior experience with retail portals (e.g., Supplier One, Vendor Central, etc.), familiarity with Item Set Up a plus
  • Hands on Keyboard experience with Salsify/Syndigo or other assets tool
  • Dependability in execution of work and as member of assigned team
  • Enthusiastic, "can do" attitude in accepting work/new challenges in a changing environment
  • Desire to learn all aspects of the Ecommerce discipline
  • Effective interpersonal skills working well across functions
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or content management.
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Detail orientation and ability to multitask across fluid workload
  • Strong computer skills, experience with AI tools, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Compensation Range: USD $53,960.00 - USD $71,610.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
