Job description

Aim High Leadership Center Four is seeking a highly qualified, dedicated, and inspiring Lead Preschool Teacher to manage and instruct a 3K/PreK classroom. This professional will be responsible for creating a dynamic, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment and upholding the highest standards of safety, instruction, and professionalism in alignment with all regulatory and organizational guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Instructional Leadership and Curriculum

  • Plan, develop, and deliver comprehensive and engaging lesson plans and activities using the Creative Curriculum framework.

  • Ensure all classroom practices meet the rigorous standards outlined in Article 47 Guidelines, CLASS, ECERS, and the Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF).

  • Engage with scholars continually to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

  • Commit to implementing best practices at all times in curriculum delivery, classroom management, and assessment.

  • Utilize and implement positive behavioral strategies, specifically the Pyramid Model and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), to foster a positive and supportive classroom culture.

Professionalism and Collaboration

  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times when interacting with scholars, families, colleagues, and administrative staff, ensuring confidentiality and respect.

  • Represent the learning community positively and professionally both on and off-site.

  • Demonstrate a strong ability to work and participate in training as a team and collaborate effectively with assistant teachers and support staff.

  • Attend all staff development meetings and required training sessions.

  • Show a commitment to being a constant learner and be willing to learn new things to better your own practice and the learning community as a whole.

  • Be receptive to and proactively seek constructive feedback to refine pedagogy and professional skills.

Safety, Attendance, and Physical Requirements

  • Exemplary attendance and punctuality are non-negotiable requirements for this leadership position, ensuring consistency and stability for the scholars.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all scholars, adhering strictly to all school and state health and safety regulations.

  • Maintain the physical capability to perform all duties, including the ability to lift, bend, and comfortably be at a scholar's eye level to provide instruction and build connections.

  • Must assist with scholars' toileting and personal care needs as required, maintaining strict hygiene protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required).

  • Prior lead teaching experience in a licensed preschool or PreK setting (3-5-year-olds).

  • Deep familiarity with and proven ability to implement the Creative Curriculum.

  • In-depth knowledge of ECE assessment and quality rating tools, specifically CLASS, ECERS, and ELOF.

  • Must be able to successfully pass all required background checks and health screenings.

  • Must be fluent in English.

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Teaching Certification (Preferred)
