Job description

Richard Construction Inc. (RCI) is currently seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Project Manager.
Position Summary
Plan, organize, direct, and control execution of E&I construction projects to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, and Schedule objectives. Multiple projects may be assigned concurrently.
Job Description:
  • Provides contract administration, technical expertise, and support to multiple construction projects
  • Assists safety department in developing and implementing the project(s) safety plan(s) and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures
  • Supports other department personnel as required; may include assisting with estimates in other disciplines
  • Ensures the project is constructed per design, specifications, codes, budget, resources, quality, and schedule objectives
  • Manages project performance and assists project controls to provide performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule
  • Develop good working relationships with Clients
  • Identifies and manages risks and opportunities

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience managing E&I construction projects
  • Demonstrated success in management of construction projects
  • Working knowledge of electrical specifications, codes, and installation practices with strong technical knowledge
  • Ability to interpret computerized costs data and systems
  • Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must have a stable work history
  • Previous management of supervisory experience
  • Must follow all company and site rules and regulations

Required Qualifications:
  • Estimating experience is a plus
  • Strong E&I background on industrial construction projects
  • Ability to work with others - Team player
  • Good communication skills
  • Commitment to Richard values, safety rules, and regulations

Reports to Position:
  • This position will report directly to the E&I Construction General Manager

Physical Requirements:
  • Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting
  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, and push or pull objects such as materials, controls, and tools
  • Will be required to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs in weight
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and capable of occasional work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs/muffs, safety vests, gloves, steel toe/safety toe boots, and masks/respirators

Work Environment:
  • This position primarily is performed from RCI's E&I Construction Office in Huffman, TX, but may be posted temporarily on project sites, when required. Field site visits will be required regularly.
