At Spin Master, our unwavering commitment to open mindedness, integrity and innovation is a great part of what has made us an industry leader. How do we stay ahead of the pack? By hiring the best and brightest minds-and that's why we want you!
Job Description:
What will you work on?
The Senior Media Manager for Melissa & Doug is a key leadership role responsible for the full-funnel performance of our multi-million dollar media investment. You will be a key contributor of our holistic media strategy that both drives brand awareness and demand in the upper and mid-funnel, and expertly captures that demand through lower-funnel tactics to fuel our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business.
Reporting to the Head of DTC, you will serve as the day to day performance contact for our media agency partners, ensuring all media efforts are seamlessly integrated, data-driven, and optimized to achieve our ambitious growth objectives across all channels.
How will you create impact?
  • Holistic Media Strategy & KPI Ownership: Key contributor end-to-end media strategy for Melissa & Doug in partnership with Brand Marketing Director. Direct ownership of clear KPI framework that connects upper-funnel brand metrics (reach, frequency, awareness) to lower-funnel performance goals (ROAS, CPA, DTC sales).
  • Full-Funnel Performance Management: Key partner in the planning, execution, and optimization of all media. Continuously analyze performance to shift budgets between awareness and performance channels, maximizing enterprise-wide growth and ensuring the health of the entire media ecosystem.
  • DTC Channel Growth: Spearhead performance media strategies across paid search, social, programmatic, and other direct-response channels to hit DTC sales and customer acquisition targets. Lead a robust testing agenda to constantly improve conversion rates and efficiency.
  • Agency Accountability & Leadership: Manage the day-to-day relationship with our media agency, holding them accountable not just for channel-specific metrics, but for the blended performance of the entire media mix. Drive agency partners toward innovation and thought leadership.
  • Actionable Insights & Measurement: Champion a data-first approach, utilizing multi-touch attribution, MMM insights, and incrementality testing to accurately measure the impact of all media investments. Deliver regular, clear reports to leadership that translate data into actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary media liaison between our agency and internal teams (Marketing, Analytics, Creative, Sales), ensuring media strategy is fully integrated with all brand and commercial activities.

How will you fit into the team?
  • Performance Driven: You are obsessed with results and make data-driven decisions to maximize ROI for both brand health and DTC sales.
  • Strategic Thinker: You look beyond channel-specific tactics to see the full picture, connecting brand-building activities to commercial outcomes.
  • Relationship Builder: You create strong, collaborative relationships with agency partners and internal stakeholders, fostering a team-oriented approach to achieving common goals.
  • Entrepreneurial & Proactive Spirit: You are a self-starter who actively seeks out new opportunities to drive growth, test innovative ideas, and improve processes.
  • Strong Communicator: You possess excellent presentation skills and can effectively articulate complex media strategies and performance results to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail Oriented: You have a keen eye for detail in campaign setup, budget tracking, and performance analysis, ensuring flawless execution.

What are your skills and experience?
  • Experience in media planning, buying, and strategy, with a proven track record of managing large, multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Experience in performance media with a strong focus on DTC, e-commerce, or digital-first brands (paid search, paid social, programmatic).
  • Understanding of the full marketing funnel and experience managing integrated campaigns that include both brand awareness (TV, streaming) and direct-response objectives.
  • Analytical skills and experience with measurement tools and methodologies (e.g., Google Analytics, ad platforms, MMM, multi-touch attribution).
  • Demonstrated success in managing media agencies to drive performance, accountability, and efficiency.
