What is a DSP 2?

A DSP 2, or Direct Support Professional level 2, is a caregiver who provides support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They help clients with daily living activities, personal care, medication administration, and community engagement. Their work is essential in promoting independence and improving the quality of life for those they support.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a DSP 2 (Direct Support Professional II), and why are they important?
