Direct Support Professional II to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives in their communities.
As a
DSP II, you'll go beyond basic care-you'll mentor, advocate, and help transform lives, all while supporting a team and driving excellence.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor staff during shifts
- Provide direct support based on personalized care plans
- Communicate with families, guardians, and health professionals
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and progress tracking
- Advocate for individuals at appointments and in the community
- Model professionalism and uphold CRi's core values

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- 2 years of hands-on experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Understanding of the unique needs and challenges associated with supporting individuals with IDD.
- Familiarity with the Person-Centered Planning process.
- Basic computer skills for documentation, communication and training purposes.
- Ability to cook and manage household tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of at least 50% of DSP (Direct Support Professional) certification.
- Ability to obtain DSP certifications within 90 days of employment.
Working Environment:
- Indoor and Outdoor program site and various community locations.
Supervision Exercised:
- Leadership responsibilities on shifts, including overseeing progress note review, documentation completion, and delegation of tasks.
- Serve as a supportive conduit for individuals and their families/guardians.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and the ability to facilitate home life meetings.
