Position Summary:
Director, DSD Excellence is responsible for managing and holding the front line leaders accountable for the on-going sustainability of the selling and operational activities as defined by the DSD Excellence standards. Success is defined by brand growth, the attainment of the Company's vision for profit, and continuous improvement through the BBU way of selling.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates and supports the Zone Sales Leaders (ZSL) in the development and maintenance of the overall structure and functions needed to execute DSD excellence initiatives.
  • Maintains an audit schedule of all assigned sales centers to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of DSD Excellence activities.
  • Communicates to local ZSLs and the Corporate DSD Excellence Executive team the results of compliance audits and responsible for creating corrective action plans, in coordination with ZSL, to address deficiencies found in market.
  • Supports the Business Unit with strategies for Market expansion and Real Estate needs.
  • Supervises all Business Development positions.
  • Supports financial reviews of Independent Business Partner's route prior to purchases and facilitation of sale.
  • Manages and provides oversight to the overall route structure, profitability, and viability including route splits/adds/cuts.
  • Drives and continuously monitors safety initiatives for effectiveness throughout the local organization, both in the market place and in the sales centers.
  • Supports and maintains best practices for the compliance of all BBU Food Safety and internal audit standards.
  • Provides positive impacts to the P&L by giving full transparency to the DSD Excellence Key Performance Indicators across submarkets within the Business Unit.
  • Leads the on-going development of the sales leaders through the DSD Excellence curriculum to drive continuous improvement.
  • Builds the organizational capability for sales and execution through the effective recruitment and on-boarding of future world class leaders.
  • Provides leadership to ensure that all sales tools and technology are being utilized to their full capacity in order to maximize achievement of sales and profit targets.
  • Aligns and collaborate with the Business Unit leaders to develop strategic plans to support growth opportunities and different paths to market.
  • Oversees all activities related to the disciplines of managing SBT shrink and product accountability.
  • Drives and supports the achievement of safety goals; coach and lead the awareness of safety programs accordingly to eliminate unsafe acts, eliminate workplace injuries, and lead local organization to achieve the goal of zero injuries and maintain and enforce BBU Food Safety and internal audit standards.

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or related field.
  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

Ideal candidate will possess:
  • 8-10 years management experience in all aspects of food sales or relevant responsibilities in comparable industry.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and sales analytical tools.
  • Track record as a successful Team leader and coaching.
  • Travel is required, 40%.
