Role Description The CDL-A Driver Recruiter is a full-time, on-site role based in Princeton, IN. This position is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified CDL-A drivers through job postings, digital platforms, recruiting events, and referrals. The Recruiter will manage the full recruitment cycle, including conducting phone and in-person interviews, coordinating road tests, verifying credentials, and supporting pre-employment onboarding processes. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining an active pipeline of candidates, tracking recruiting metrics, collaborating with operations and safety teams to understand staffing needs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The role also involves building strong relationships with applicants, promoting KC Logistics’ brand as an employer of choice, and continuously improving recruiting processes to meet evolving business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in driver or transportation recruiting, including full-cycle recruitment, candidate screening, and onboarding processes.
  • Knowledge of CDL-A driver qualifications, DOT and FMCSA regulations, and transportation industry standards.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills for engaging candidates and working with internal stakeholders.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple requisitions and meet hiring timelines.
  • Comfort with recruiting and applicant tracking systems, online job boards, social media, and basic office software (e.g., MS Office or Google Workspace).
  • Ability to work on-site in Princeton, IN, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or human resources is highly beneficial; familiarity with high-volume recruiting is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
