Job Overview
Fairview Range is hiring an Environmental Services Assistant in our Housekeeping Department in Hibbing, MN.
As an Environmental Service Assistant, you will Provide an outstanding level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment consistent with department procedures and protocols.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per two weeks on the Evening shift. Weekends: Every Other Weekend

Responsibilities
  • Provide a superior level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment consistent with department procedures and protocol.
  • Uses proper chemicals and dilution ratio's proper supplies for task and replenishes supplies.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of infection control standards, isolation room cleaning, personal protective equipment and appropriate hand hygiene techniques.
  • Follows proper procedures for assigned areas and properly document work assignments.
  • Properly handles and disposes of regulated, non-regulated and recyclable waste.
  • Follows proper procedures for assigned areas and properly documents work assignments.
  • Remains flexible to change in assignments and tasks as needed.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of linen, assembles distributes adequate amounts of linen to locations and delivery procedures including accurately weighing and documenting weights to appropriate departments, adjusting par levels as needed and removes stained and damaged linen needing repair from inventory.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and procedures and complies with all relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate successful completion of cleaning standards by evidence of quality inspections.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess the ability to read, write and follow written and oral directions
  • Must demonstrate aptitude for successful completion of tasks
  • Must have knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment
  • Ability to interact effectively through demonstration of positive and effective communication
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Able to function under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Able to read, write and add numbers

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years cleaning experience
