Are you detail-oriented and looking for meaningful work? STAT Informatic Solutions is looking for a Document Processing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll help manage and process records, ensuring they're handled with accuracy, care, and confidentiality. This is an onsite role. Occasional travel may be required within surrounding metropolitan area to provide coverage at other locations.


Pay Rate: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm, 8:00am - 4:30pm, or 8:30am - 5:00pm determined by business needs.

What You'll Do

  • Review and receive documents, as applicable.
  • Prepare documents accurately for scanning in accordance with established company and client guidelines.
  • Perform high-quality scanning of records, ensuring the document count aligns with the batch cover sheet and that image quality meets required standards.
  • Verify and index documents using company systems and software to release them into the production workflow.
  • Consistently meet daily production goals set by operations leadership.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both internal team members and external clients.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policies at all times.
  • Assist in training new team members by sharing knowledge of production processes and utilizing STAT Informatic Solutions' training modules, as assigned.
  • Monitor processing queues and respond as needed to ensure workflow continuity.
  • Support quality control efforts and assist in the daily processing of reports, as directed.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of related experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers, office equipment, and relevant software is preferred to effectively perform daily production tasks.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding information governance and medical recordkeeping requirements, when applicable.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings in accordance with client and company policies and guidelines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequent standing or sitting while performing document preparation or scanning
  • Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional standing and walking within office or department
  • Frequent use of hands for data entry, handling documents, and operating office equipment
  • Visual acuity required for reading, computer use, and document review
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements for scanning and keyboard input
  • Bending, reaching, and stretching to access file storage or scanner trays
  • Ability to visually inspect scanned images for clarity and accuracy
  • Demonstrates the ability to remain focused and productive in environments with frequent or sustained noise

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is generally performed in an office setting located within a hospital or warehouse environment. It may require extended periods of sitting or standing. This role demands sufficient eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment effectively. A normal range of hearing and vision is also necessary to accurately prepare, record, and communicate reports. Work schedules for Document Processing Specialists may vary based on operational demands and business needs. Flexibility in adjusting work hours, including occasional changes to the schedule, is expected.
