Job Description:
Job Summary
The North Central Nursing Clinics (NCNC) is seeking a Clerk to join our team. This role will provide administrative support to the NCNC Delphi office.
North Central Nursing Clinics (NCNC) is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) providing access to high-quality primary healthcare services for the communities surrounding Burlington, Delphi, Monon, and Wolcott.
This position is primarily located in Delphi, IN, it may require occasional travel to the Burlington, Monon, and/or Wolcott clinics as needed for coverage.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday, 10:00am - 7:00pm, and Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Occasional Saturday coverage may be needed, 8:00am - 12:00pm.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Serve as the "first face" of the clinic to patients and community stakeholders.
  • Responsible for strategically schedule patients, maximizing staff efficiency, and maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Answers phone, directing calls appropriately to nursing triage, direct schedule, or other staff delegation.
  • Completes patient check-out with billing reconciliation and cash collection, as required by insurance status.
  • Act as translator as needed by nursing staff.
  • Communicate with patients (phone, letters, in person).
  • Assists in scanning documents and patient records into the EHR.
  • Covers all clinics' staffing as needed; some Saturdays are required.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Three years of experience in a clerical or administrative support role.

Skills Needed:
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communications skills with a customer service focus.
  • Understanding of basic math and cash handling processes.

What is Helpful:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record systems.
