Description
Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems is on the lookout for a skilled Sr. Production Controller to become an integral part of our Production Planning Team based in Redmond, WA.
This position will work onsite 5 days per week.

JOB SUMMARY
As our Sr. Production Controller, you will review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules while conferring with cross-functional teams to determine progress of work, and completion dates, and problem resolution. This role will provide work leadership to others in Production Control, represent Production Control through participation on cross functional teams, and be assigned more complex and high visibility commitments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Sr. Production Controller will be assigned Cabin, NPI, and Airborne Power & Control (APC) products. Below are the essential functions for this role:
  • Evaluates and sets work center priorities to achieve the best overall schedule performance.
  • Coordinates mod incorporation to maintain traceability and containment, with limited assistance from PC Specialist.
  • Works with Program Management and Quality to execute containment plan. Participates in team decision on resolution of non-conformance.
  • Manages Heijunka boards, utilizing product knowledge in determining optimal flow through production. Coordinates with VSM. Creates and communicates the Line of Balance and MMC shortage list.
  • Assists Manufacturing Engineering in the development of accurate ERS routings, utilizes product knowledge to make recommendations aligned with production specifications.
  • Applies knowledge and experience of production processes to guide cross functional team members in NPI introduction to production, with limited assistance from Production Controller Specialist.
  • Leads annual SOX audits, performs audit counts, and verifies product per auditor request.
  • Determines optimal incorporation of ECO changes to Production for all assigned products (APC, Cabin, NPI).
  • Manages MRB processes, conversion of work orders and containment of product.
  • Creates and updates standard work and ES documents, with assistance from Production Control Specialist
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma required
  • Demonstrates competency (typically 5+ years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)

Work Environment:
  • Lifting heavy items (typically 25 lbs.) on occasion.
  • May require valid driver's license in support of other AES sites and outplant facilities

Employment is contingent upon the employee's authorization to access such items under applicable law. Base salary range for this position is $72,746 - $109,119 per year. Mid-point is $90,933.
Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
