About The Company:

Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed technology organization serving the healthcare industry. With operations spanning multiple international entities, the company is investing heavily in building scalable financial infrastructure and seeks a hands-on Controller to establish best-in-class accounting operations while supporting continued growth.

Job Description:

The Controller will lead all aspects of the accounting function and partner closely with executive leadership to develop scalable financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and ensure timely financial reporting. This individual will oversee global accounting operations, drive ERP implementation efforts, support audit readiness, and build a high-performing accounting organization capable of supporting a complex, multi-entity business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process while improving efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, executive reporting packages, and key performance metrics.
  • Manage accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
  • Oversee revenue accounting and ensure compliance with ASC 606 across multiple revenue streams.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of a multi-entity ERP system, including chart of accounts design, data migration, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop scalable accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support organizational growth.
  • Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
  • Oversee working capital reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow analysis, and intercompany accounting.
  • Partner with outside tax advisors to support domestic and international tax compliance.
  • Build, mentor, and lead the accounting team while fostering continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Active CPA license.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller responsibilities.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with extensive ASC 606 revenue recognition experience.
  • Experience working in private equity-backed and/or publicly traded organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP implementations, preferably NetSuite.
  • Expertise managing multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environments.
  • Proven success improving month-end close processes and implementing scalable accounting operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Preferred

  • Big Four or national public accounting experience.
  • Experience supporting international entities and global accounting operations.
  • Background designing internal controls and audit-ready accounting environments.
  • Knowledge of software capitalization and intangible asset accounting.
  • Experience with systems such as NetSuite, ADP, Dayforce, Salesforce, Power BI, Anaplan, or similar enterprise applications.
  • Prior experience within Healthcare Technology, SaaS, or subscription-based business models.
